Throwback: Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati 2017


Last year, PNG Jewellers had employed its 40 craftsmen for around five months, 60,000 hours to craft gold jewellery for Shrimanth Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati with more than 60,000 precious stones, weighing a whopping 40 kg. Replete with intricate traditional craftsmanship like Filigree work and Nakashi, seven different crowns had been created for Ganpati Bappa. The ornaments include meticulously handcrafted Ganesh Mukut, seven changeable Zali (front part of Mukut) and seven changeable Prabhaval (net around the Mukut), Uparna, Angarkha, Pitambar, Kaan (ear), Shunda Bhushan and a necklace. Designed to perfection, these beautiful jewels are adorned with lotus, Kalash, elephant, Kirtimukh, peacock and trident and are carved using gold, emeralds, rubies and white diamonds.
